When you have a Disney+ Marvel TV show featuring a Jade Giant lady, you can’t possibly rule out the possible appearance of the original one. Of course, we’re talking about Mark Ruffalo, who recently revealed that he was in talks to appear in the upcoming She-Hulk series.
Ruffalo spoke about this at a panel at C2E2 in Chicago over the weekend, stating that he was involved in “preliminary talks” to make a guest appearance as Bruce Banner/The Hulk in She-Hulk (via ComicBook.com). This was also confirmed by LaughingPlace.com, who posted a recap of the Avengers: Endgame star’s panel on Twitter.
This potential casting makes perfect sense for She-Hulk, as, in the comics, Bruce Banner is the biological cousin of the titular character, whose alter ego is Jennifer Walters. To catch you up, Walters was transfused with Banner’s Gamma radiation-infused blood after meeting with a potentially fatal accident.
The result was, inevitably, the birth of She-Hulk, who today ranks among one of the most popular Marvel Comics superheroes. But before that, Walters had to struggle with containing the angry guy inside. Banner coming into the picture as Professor Hulk would serve as the perfect mentor to Walters in refining her alter ego.
Now all we need is just for a direct confirmation from Marvel Studios or Disney that the Avengers: Endgame and Thor: Ragnarok alum will guest star in the show.
No casting or release date was announced yet for She-Hulk, though production is reported to have already begun.
