MapleStorySEA is celebrating the start of 2026 with a bang, as the massive MMORPG is getting even larger with the latest Assemble update, which introduces the highly anticipated Mo Xuan, the First Jianghu Warrior, alongside an exciting limited-time giveaway and expanded player growth systems.
Starting today, Mo Xuan, the First Jianghu Warrior, smashes into the scene as the game’s second new character released as part of the Assemble update, following Len the Red-Eyed Wanderer in November 2025. As a Pirate class born from the legend of Wu Shen, Mo Xuan hails from the Xuanshan School and is imbued with the divine martial power of the God of Martial Arts. In combat, Mo Xuan combines his Qi mastery with modern fighting techniques with a fluid, high-impact combat style, overwhelming his foes with a flurry of blows.
To mark the arrival of its newest fighter, MapleStorySEA has launched the Journey to Jianghu Giveaway Contest, which runs from now until 28 February 2026, where eligible players will stand a chance to win a limited-edition custom Mo Xuan-themed gaming PC! Players simply need to take an in-game screenshot of their Mo Xuan character at level 250 or above, share it on their social media pages with the hashtags #JourneytoJianghu and #MapleStorySEA, and submit their entry via a Google Form to participate.
As MapleStorySEA welcomes a new hero into the fray, there’s no better time to take advantage of the game’s expanded growth systems to rank up your Mo Xuan to level 250 and dive into the Journey to Jianghu Giveaway!
First up is Challenger World Season 2, which is currently running till 21 April 2026, and now has higher tiers, expanded missions, and even more powerful tier-specific buffs. Additionally, with extended boss challenges until they face off against Carling, seasoned Maplers can test their mettle and claim even greater rewards than ever before, offering deeper progression and growth motivation for newcomers and veteran players alike.
Are you ready to go beyond? MapleStorySEA’s burning event has also marked a bigger return with Hyper Burning Beyond, which also lasts til 21 April 2026. This event is all about player progression, accelerating Maplers’ journeys with a massive 1+4 level-up boost up to level 260, alongside a 1+1 boost thereafter until level 270.
Additionally, with Hyper Mushroom Pass, players can extend their rewards beyond level 260, with all newly created characters being eligible to join the Hyper Mushroom Pass, which comes packed with brand-new milestones and rewards up to level 280.
As a cherry on top, the update also unlocks the second half of the Secret Book of Destiny, allowing a second newly created level 260 character the chance to tackle its challenging boss fights again for increased rewards, providing yet another opportunity to try out the raw power of Mo Xuan. Maplers can also unlock up to three types of Secret Technique Missions to help them face the tough challenges, with those who complete both the First and Second Destiny missions receiving additional Fulfilled Destiny rewards.
With the Assemble update, MapleStorySEA is starting the year off strong, expanding its already impressive character roster and gameplay systems even further and cementing itself as one of the MMORPG genre’s greats.
