Star Wars Jedi Survivor Sequel

Lightsaber Combat Shines Bright In New ‘Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’ Gameplay

There is little doubt that Respawn Entertainment and EA‘s upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is one of the biggest games of 2023. Hot on the heels of the first game, there is still plenty of adventure left for Cal Kestis, and new gameplay footage shared by IGN seems to suggest that fans will be in for an exhilarating time this 28 April when Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches.

Taking us to the planet of Koboh, we join Kestis as he seeks to repair his ship. Of course, combat is never too far away, and for a Jedi now armed with more experience, fans can expect more of the same excellent systems that were in the first game, albeit with new enhancements.

Lightsabers are the star of the show, whether you like them on their own or being dual-wielded. It also appears that fighting styles can be switched at any given time, allowing for a more seamless combat flow in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as part of the gameplay. The footage also shows us more droids that will foolishly stand in our way, and a good demonstration of Kestis’ Force powers.

The new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay also gives us a good look at the environmental work being done by the team at Respawn. There seems to be a general vibrancy to things, and everything just looks much smoother compared to Fallen Order. It also helps that the music takes things up a notch.

Despite an earlier delay, it seems like the hype for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will not be diminished, especially with such new gameplay footage. After waiting for four years, we simply cannot wait to jump back in when Star Wars Jedi: Survivor arrives on the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S this 28 April.
