‘Life is Strange: Reunion’ Plot Details Leaked, Sees Return Of Fan-Favourite Chloe Price

A follow-up to the 2024  episodic adventure game Life is Strange: Double Exposure has long been rumoured by fans of the franchise, but now, thanks to a leaked listing on the European ratings board PEGI, details of a sequel, Life is Strange: Reunion, have surfaced, marking the return of fan-favourite character Chloe Price.

Life is Strange (2015)

The leak, which was swiftly taken down, but not before being recorded on various internet archival sites, outlines Life is Strange: Reunion’s overall plot, which reads as follows:

Chloe Price was Max Caulfield’s partner in time… Losing her is Max’s greatest regret. Now Chloe has come to Caledon University. Haunted by nightmares and impossible memories, Chloe needs Max’s help. But Max is already in crisis: in three days, a deadly inferno will destroy the campus.

Life is Strange: Reunion’s focus on Chloe Price is especially notable, as it potentially forces the choice-driven series into one canon ending. In the original 2015 title, players were given the ultimatum on whether to save Chloe but let the town of Arcadia Bay get completely destroyed, or sacrifice her to save the townsfolk. Life is Strange: Double Exposure worked around this issue by allowing players the choice to lock in their past decisions at the start, and barely mentions both Chloe or Arcadia Bay to avoid continuity issues, with the former delegated to a single line in a voiceover flashback.

Now, with Chloe’s presence in Caledon University, the setting of Life is Strange: Double Exposure, this could either mean that the game will retcon the ending where Arcadia Bay is saved, or introduce some time-warping or multi-dimensional shenanigans to explain her appearance, which, to be fair, does fit rather well into the series’ overall themes.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm (2017)

Chloe Price was last seen in the 2017 prequel, Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, which centred on the events preceding the first game and the relationship between her and fellow schoolmate Rachel Amber, the latter of which would go on to become a main plot point in 2015’s Life is Strange.

With its leaked rating on PEGI, the official announcement of Life is Strange: Reunion looks to be imminent, so fans won’t have to wait much longer before they find out how the team has made Chloe’s return possible.
