First Looks — ‘Genshin Impact’, ‘Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2’ & More In Ufotable Highlight Reel

It’s been radio silence since news broke that Genshin Impact was getting the anime treatment (almost four years!), but don’t fret — the dream is still alive. In a promotional reel released by ufotable, best known for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime, the project was featured alongside a slew of other upcoming works from the studio, including the second film in the animated Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle trilogy, Katsugeki Touken RanbuWitch on the Holy Night, and more.

While other details, such as a release date and plot specifics, were not announced, fans can catch a glimpse of the logo for the highly anticipated sequel, which comes under “future projects”. Rounding out the segment is the “long-term collaboration project” with HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact and the planned theatrical anime film for the Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu anime, first announced in 2017, with the 2026 release and activity slate listed as follows:

ufotable 2026 projects

As a busy time lies ahead for ufotable, the Demon Slayer hype is set to pick up in North America and Canada once again — the first instalment of Infinity Castle will return to theatres nationwide on 6 March in a special SCREENX format, described as “the world’s first multi-projection cinema with an immersive 270 degree field of view”.

The film has notched several record-breaking milestones since its domestic debut in July 2025, including becoming the first Japanese film to cross US$600 million at the global box office and the biggest debut ever for an anime film at the North American box office. With Haruo Sotozaki, who previously directed Infinity Train, back at the helm, it picks up after the finale of the fourth anime season, where Muzan Kibutsuji (Toshihiko Seki / Greg Chun) traps Tanjiro Kamado (Natsuki Hanae / Zach Aguliar) and his companions of the Demon Slayer Corps inside his fortress, the Infinity Castle, kicking off a decisive battle between the Demon Slayers and Muzan’s subordinates, the Upper Moons.

Part of a planned trilogy adapting the titular arc of Koyoharu Gotouge’s best-selling manga series, it also features the voices of Channing Tatum (Deadpool and Wolverine) and Rebecca Wang (Blue Eye Samurai) as Keizo and Koyuki, respectively, in the English dub. No release date was attached to the sequel or the Genshin Impact project.
