LEGO 76295 ‘The Avengers Helicarrier’ Midi-Scale Set Shrinks Massive Marvel Toy For Your Home

First looks of the new midi-scale LEGO 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier Marvel set just dropped thanks to German retailer Lucky Bricks. This scaled-down replica, comprising a modest 509 pieces, offers an ideal compromise between size and detail for display.

Long-time Marvel fans may recall the 2015 LEGO 76042 The SHIELD Helicarrier set, retailing at US$349.99 with nearly 3,000 pieces and featuring beloved micro-figures like Nick Fury and Captain America.

Back when it was first released, the 2015 Helicarrier was one the biggest LEGO sets that one could get hold of and it was a big flex for anyone having the privilege of being able to own one. Within the geek community, it was only after the release of the LEGO UCS 75192 Millennium Falcon in 2017 that the attention was shifted away. Since then, the most recent LEGO 76269 Avengers Tower set is one of the more ambitious sets to be released to test our wallets and display space.

To keep the price tag down for any prospective LEGO Marvel fan, the new midi-scale iteration faithfully recreates the iconic Helicarrier but omits key components. With most LEGO sets including some form of playable aspects, such as micro-figs and minifigs, the 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier is devoid of any which some may find the set feeling sparse in comparison.

Another significant aspect is the abundance of stickers included, particularly on the Helicarrier’s runway. Enthusiasts who prefer straightforward building sans meticulous sticker application may find this less appealing.

However, for Marvel fans seeking a rewarding building experience in a manageable size, this set promises an enjoyable project and a striking display piece. Without having to buy a new home to display it.

The LEGO 76295 Avengers Helicarrier set retails at US$79.99 and will be available starting 1 August 2024.
