Leaked earlier this week, this year’s May the 4th “Gift with Purchase” micro-scale mini build LEGO 40407 Star Wars Death Star II Battle exclusive set has been officially revealed. The 235-piece set features a TIE interceptor chasing down an A-Wing over the Death Star II surface. The A-Wing is included in this set, probably as a tie-in with the upcoming UCS release on 1st May.
As mentioned earlier, it’s disappointing that LEGO didn’t go with a Death Star I trench run build instead, which will make for a nice “trilogy” set to compliment the Battle of Hoth and Endor builds released last year. On other difference is that this year’s set will carry a “LEGO Star Wars 2020” nameplate instead of the “20 Years of LEGO Star Wars” from the earlier two below:
