Great Scott! The wait is over. The LEGO 10300 ‘Back to the Future’ DeLorean Time Machine is finally coming out on 1 April.
The rumour mill had been busy the past year about the eventual release of a LEGO DeLorean Time Machine, but today, LEGO has finally made it official, the LEGO DeLorean is back in 2022.
This is LEGO’s biggest and most detailed set of the DeLorean Time Machine yet, similar in scale to other recent LEGO’s car builds like the Ecto-1. The 1,872-piece can be built into one of three different versions of the DeLorean – the original 1985 DeLorean with its lightning conductor from Back to the Future, the flying version in Back to the Future II, and the 1885 version that travelled back to the old Wild West in Back to the Future III.
The set features functional gull-wing doors, swappable license plates, a light-up flux capacitor, and two new minifigures, that of beloved Marty McFly and Emmet “Doc” Brown. Marty even has his hoverboard, along with a plutonium box, can drink and banana.
The LEGO 10300 ‘Back to the Future’ DeLorean Time Machine will hit store shelves on 1 April 2022 and retails for US$169.99.
