Karate Kid’s Retro Beat-‘Em-Up Game Announced For Sept

Get ready to wax on, wax off your enemies as you crane-kick your way through the 1980s! GameMill Entertainment has announced The Karate Kid: Street Rumble, a 16-bit-styled multiplayer side-scrolling beat-’em-up for release on 20 September.

Available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, it offers a nostalgic punch reminiscent of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, a similar ’80s retro-style arcade brawler, with support for four-player local co-op.

Players can choose from iconic characters like Daniel Russo, Mr. Miyagi, Kumiko, and Ali Mills to battle classic villains such as Johnny Lawrence, John Kreese, and Terry Silver across 12 stages. Set in the 1980s, the game promises to capture the essence of the beloved franchise and will feature a chiptune soundtrack.
