‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ Teases Harley Quinn’s New Voice Ahead Of First Trailer

Joker: Folie à Deux is gearing up for its first trailer releasing on 9 April, and it’s full steam ahead, with an official poster and audio preview being unveiled just a week before the trailer.

Joker: Folie à Deux

“You can do anything you want,” Harley whispers sensually in an audio teaser posted to TikTok, “You’re Joker.” It looks like Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) and Harley are caught in a bad romance, and the murderous couple look lovingly at each other while sharing a dance. Unlike previous actresses who have played Harley with a heavy Brooklyn accent, Gaga chooses to forgo continuing the trend in her version of the character.

Previous Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie shared back in January that “I actually haven’t spoken to her about it. I almost don’t want to know so I can save it for the surprise when I get to see the movie.”

The film will not be a musical, unlike what previous rumors seemed to imply, but instead a film set to music, according to director of photography Lawrence Sher. Whichever direction the film decides to go in, it’ll break new ground with its unique artistic vision.

Joker: Folie à Deux opens in theatres on 4 October 2024.
