In a surprise reveal at the NYCC 2019 (New York Comic Con), Playmobil unveiled their latest lineup of movie-themed toys to be rolled out in May 2020.
[UPDATE] Pre-orders are now up for Playmobil 70317 BTTF DeLorean (US$49.99) on Amazon and Entertainment Earth and Playmobil 70459 BTTF Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown Action Figure (US$7.99)!
Feeding further into the nostalgia of the 80s, this time they are bringing Marty McFly and Doc Brown to the mix, with everyone’s favourite time machine, the DeLorean! Seeing how the Playmobil Ghostbusters Ecto-1 came with lights and sound. We’re expecting the DeLorean to also have the headlights and flux capacitor light up.

That’s not all, Scooby-Doo and gang are also joining in the fun.
Clearly, Playmobil is targeting the adult collector market these days. Just not too long ago, in 2017, Playmobil rolled out their first licensed toy line – Ghostbusters. Looking at where they’re going, it makes us wonder what could be next in line from the 80s. RoboCop or Knight Rider perhaps? Or even He-Man?
