On 19 December, movie-goers in Singapore will finally be able to watch the final chapter to the Skywalker saga, which spanned more than four decades.
In celebration of the movie’s release, several movie theatres will be releasing limited edition Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker cinema goodies, because what better way is there to pay a visit to the galaxy far, far away than with some snacks, drinks, and premium movie collectibles.
As we eagerly countdown to the movie’s release, here is a list of premium Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker cinema goodies for you to get your hands on.
Cathay (December 5 – 31, 2019)
Kicking off the line of Star Wars-themed cinema goodies is Shaw with their character helmet straw of a Stormtrooper, a Sith Trooper, and Kylo Ren. While it might be more than a little disconcerting to see a stray stabbed through their helmets, these character helmet straws will still be a great addition to the kitchen of any Star Wars fan.
Movie-goers will be able to get the character helmet straws when they purchase the S$11 combo that comes with a large popcorn and a cup of regular soda.
Shaw (December 6, 2019 – January 6, 2020)
Taking the theme of Star Wars character helmets one step further is Shaw with their Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Combo and Finale Combo which comes with themed lid cups. There are four options for you to choose from – Stormtrooper, Sith Trooper, Kylo Ren, and one of the Knights of Ren.
The Finale Combo is priced at S$39.90 and comes with one large popcorn, one large drink, and all four of the themed lip cups. Whereas the normal Combo is priced at a more affordable S$15.90 and comes with one large popcorn, one large drink, and one of the four themed lid cups.
Those wishing to purchase the Finale Combo will only be able to do so at Shaw Lido, Waterway Point, and Jewel.
Golden Village (December 12, 2019 – January 8, 2020)
Fans watching Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker at any Golden Village will be able to purchase the combo set there for S$14.50 and get to bring home one of three collectible cup themed after C-3PO, Kylo Ren, and R2-D2.
Movie-goers can choose from one of three combo sets. Combo A comes with a large popcorn and a regular drink, Combo B comes with a bowl of Nachos and a regular drink, while Combo C comes with a hotdog and a regular drink.
WE Cinemas (From December 13, 2019 onwards)
Fans of both Funko and Star Wars will be delighted to know that WE Cinemas will be bringing the exclusive line of Funko Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Mystery Minis to their theatres.
Fans will just have to purchase the Popcorn Combo at S$16 which comes with not only one Funko Mystery Mini, but also a large popcorn and a cup of Coca-Cola No Sugar.
Though it is more than evident that the theatres are all trying to leverage on our love for the series, we’re sure Star Wars fans will be more than happy to walk into the cinema with these cool Star Wars-themed cinema goodies in hand.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released in theatres on December 19, 2020.
