There’s still a year to go before Game of Thrones’ highly anticipated final season hits our television screens, but it looks like Adidas might already be gearing up to give the fantasy drama the sendoff it deserves. According to popular sneaker insider Yeezy Mafia, the brand with the three stripes will be releasing not one, not two, but six themed iterations of its ever-popular Ultra Boost silhouette.
With mockups being leaked on Yeezy Mafia’s Twitter and Instagram throughout last week, it looks like the sneakers are designed to represent some of the most popular Game of Thrones factions — a grey and black colourway is as gloomy as the Starks themselves, while a royal red version perfectly captures the Lannister’s love for wine and bloody weddings.
There’s also a black and white version for the Night’s Watch (the specks of “snow” are a nice touch), while the White Walkers get a very appropriate white/icy blue combination. If you’ve ever wanted to step all over Westeros’ most dangerous enemy, here’s your chance.
Heading into the endgame with the most momentum, it’s no surprise that House Targaryen rounds out the collection with two colourways to call their own — a flame-inspired design that pays tribute to their iconic dragons, along with a cream version to represent (queen) Daenerys Targaryen’s signature white hair.
Here’s the kicker (heh) though — the shoes are expected to be released in…you guessed it, 2019, which means that the wait for them might be as long as the wait for the show itself. The good news is that you’ll be appropriately dressed for the premiere, and won’t ever have to wear an IKEA carpet over your shoulders to declare your fandom ever again.
