With the resounding success following HBO’s first season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, fans of George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones, alongside its ancillary stories, are keen to see what to expect next for the series’ next season.

In light of the show’s next season, three new actors have joined the fray in the world of Westeros: Lucy Boynton (The Pale Blue Eye), Babou Ceesay (Alien: Earth), and Peter Mullan (Westworld).
Boynton will star as Lady Rohanne of Coldmoat, also known as the Red Widow, Ceesay will play Ser Bennis of the Brown Shield, and Mullan will play Ser Eustace Osgrey of Standfast in the Reach.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will be based on Martin’s The Sworn Sword, and Peter Claffey’s Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall and Dexter Sol’s Egg will make their return. The story follows Dunk and Egg, as they “become entangled in regional disputes during a summer drought in Westeros.”
According to the series’s showrunner Ira Parker, season two will last six episodes and have a similar, “maybe even smaller”, scope, which is a welcome change, as subsequent seasons for any TV series are expected to be larger in scale.
The second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will air in 2027.
