Having rolled out a HasLab crowdfunding project in 2021 for the Ghostbusters Plasma Series Spengler’s Proton Pack, it was only a matter of time before Hasbro did one for the Ghost Trap and P.K.E. Meter. What we did not expect was for Hasbro Pulse to combine both into a single HasLab crowdfunding project – Ghostbusters Plasma Series HasLab Two in the Box! Ghost Trap and P.K.E. Meter. The project was launched just a few days before Halloween and in celebration of the Ghostbusters 40th anniversary, with an initial goal of 10,000 backers.
Back in 2021, the Proton Pack HasLab project eventually closed at 19,062 backers, from the original target of 7,000 backers. We received it in January 2023 so be sure to check out our detailed unboxing.
The P.K.E. Meter is scanned from the actual Ghostbusters: Afterlife movie prop, with innovative real-life EMF Detection Mode, multi-LED Display Panel, motorized LED-lined wings, entertainment-inspired sound effects, and more. The Ghost Trap features a screen-accurate removable cartridge, working activation pedal, high-powered internal LEDs, functioning trap doors and rumble motor and plenty more. The HasLab Exclusive Ghostbusters Plasma Series HasLab Two in the Box! Ghost Trap and P.K.E. Meter is currently running at US$299.99 via Hasbro Pulse US. However, if you live in Singapore, you’ll be happy to know that it is also available concurrently at S$529 via Hasbro Pulse SG. Sure, it is costlier than the US, but the fact that it is made available here too for fans in Singapore, and if you factor in the shipping costs from the US + tax, it more than makes up for it.

There is clearly a strong global demand for Ghostbusters prop replicas. The project was fully funded with 10,000 backers within just three days, and it will surely continue to unlock the next three tiers of rewards for backers:
- 12,000 backers – unlocks the Supernatural Startup Kit
- 15,000 backers – unlocks the Secure Receptacle Ghost Trap Holster
- 18,000 backers – unlocks Psychokinetic Energy Detection Holster
The crowdfunding campaign closes on 11 December 2023, and looking at its current trajectory, it is bound to hit all three tiers of rewards.
The Supernatural Startup Kit includes a 18”x24” P.K.E. Meter and Ghost Trap blueprint poster, a set of five 4.5”x7” ESP cards, inspired by Dr. Venkman, and updated with a Dr. Stantz flair, screen-accurate ‘84 No Ghost patch replica, and a sticker sheet including Ray’s Occult Books, Stay Puft Marshmallows and more.
The Secure Receptacle Ghost Trap Holster enables you to hang the ghost trap from your belt along with a secure holster. Also included is another exclusive Ghostbusters HasLab patch.
The Psychokinetic Energy Detection Holster will be designed with premium soft goods and real metal pieces to strap the P.K.E. Meter snugly to your waist. Also included is another exclusive Mini-Puft No Ghost logo patch.
The Ghostbusters Plasma Series HasLab Two in the Box! Ghost Trap and P.K.E. Meter is expected to ship in late Fall 2024.
