As with previous years, there are overlapping results between local and global findings on the entertainment charts, with Superman, Thunderbolts*, and Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning booking a spot on both ends. Netflix’s Adolescence and Monster: The Ed Gein Story are the common link in the ranking for TV shows, but otherwise, Singaporean audiences continue to show a viewing preference for Korean dramas.

Naturally, the quadrennial affair that is this year’s General Elections was also a hot topic (and rightfully so), while Apple celebrates its third straight year in the ranks with the iPhone 17. In sixth place is Lady Gaga, coming on the heels of the Taylor Swift hype last year to reinforce the country’s status as the top concert hub in the region.

Notably, Emerald Hill – The Little Nyonya Story is the sole Singaporean production to make the cut, a testament to the enduring legacy of 2008’s The Little Nyonya that inspired a 2020 Chinese adaptation — even if the criticism may suggest otherwise. Speaking of Chinese representation, The First Frost and Love’s Ambition (许我耀眼) brought more variety into the mix.

In line with the global results, there was plenty of buzz surrounding this year’s breakout hit KPop Demon Hunters, joining the likes of its non-live-action counterparts Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — The Movie: Infinity Castle (something about ‘demons’ in the name…) and Ne Zha 2, which, despite a strong box-office showing, was noticeably missing from Western markets.
More impressively, the Netflix and Sony Animation darling is the only original work on the list, comprising sequels (Jurassic World: Rebirth), and live-action remakes or adaptations (Snow White, How to Train Your Dragon, and A Minecraft Movie).

Alongside the sort-of niche Path of Exile 2, the third-placed Strands comes as a surprise entry.
