Go On Vacation With Oshawott At Mie Prefecture’s Pokémon Themed Hotel

Mie Prefecture is known for its stunning coastal views and the famous Toba Aquarium, but did you know that Oshawott is also the official mascot of the prefecture? The adorable water-type Pokémon has been sighted on train cars and local merchandise, and now, you can go on vacation with Oshawott at the Toba Kokusai Hotel’s Pokémon themed rooms. It’s almost like a scene out of Pokémon Concierge, and this is the closest you’ll get to a peaceful getaway with Pokémon.

In Japan, Oshawott has an even cuter name, Mijumaru, and the room comes with even more goodies. The room is decorated with plushies of the otter Pokémon as well as themed furniture, and of course, Pokéballs. There’s even a little Pokéball scavenger hunt, and catching em’ all, you’ll even get a mystery souvenir. And if that wasn’t enough to entice you, the room also boasts panoramic views of Toba Bay, with an unobstructed view of the lake.

While you can’t take home most of the room’s decorations, you can however, bring back a Mijiumaru towel and tea sachets. Even the teapot is decorated with Mijiumaru prints, and there’s a mini plushie you can have tea with. Each stay costs 84,260 yen (S$724) with breakfast and dinner for two.

Rooms are in limited supply and the collaboration-themed room will run for an unspecified period of time, so book your stay while you still can!
