‘Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’ Patch Will Improve Performance Mode Graphics

For those who love Final Fantasy VII Rebirth but have encountered plenty of graphical issues in Performance Mode, a new patch is finally on the way to make some much-needed graphical improvements. The game’s director, Naoki Hamaguchi, mentioned the update while speaking to One More Game.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Headlines PlayStation State Of Play Presentation With Feb 2024 Release

“We’ve received a lot of feedback on whether the graphics in the performance mode will be improved or not. We hear you, and we are currently working on an update patch to improve that aspect. I don’t think the release date would be far away from now.”

Hamaguchi did not reveal specific details on the contents on the patch, only that the game would also fix the facial lighting to make the characters look less ‘scary’ from certain angles. And it looks like players won’t have to wait much longer, as the patch’s release is likely to come sooner than later.

In the meantime, players who still want to run the game on optimal settings will have to contend with the graphical issues of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s Performance mode for just a little longer.
