Fighting Pretty: ‘Overwatch 2’ Adds ‘Street Fighter 6’ Skins While ‘Tekken 8’ Tackles ‘Karate Kid: Legends’

It seems crossover season is upon us, as two games are receiving cosmetic collaborations over the coming months: Blizzard’s multiplayer hero shooter Overwatch 2 is getting Street Fighter 6 skins and other cosmetics in May, while Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 will receive a Karate Kid: Legends collaboration in June.

Announced by Blizzard and Capcom at EVO Japan 2025, the Overwatch 2 x Street Fighter 6 event will begin on 20 May, featuring eight new hero skins based on the 2023 fighting game, including Hanzo as Ryu, Juno as Chun-Li, Kiriko as Juri, Widowmaker as Cammy, Zenyatta as Dhalsim, Soldier: 76 as Guile, Winston as Blanka, and Sigma as M. Bison.

In addition to the skins, the event will also include other cosmetics such as sprays and emotes, and will mark the first time that the game has received a collaboration with a non-Blizzard game, possibly opening it up to future crossovers with other popular franchises.

Meanwhile, Tekken 8 is gearing up for its second season for its Spring and Summer events, with a collaboration with the upcoming film Karate Kid: Legends arriving on 13 June, bringing a free movie-themed hoodie to the game alongside Vision Takeover, which replaces the billboards of its Urban Square map with posters of the film.

Tekken 8 also has other major collaborations in its line-up, with an update due in Summer 2025 bringing company mascot Pac-Man into the game, offering new paid content such as the Pac-Pixels battle stage, a Pac-Man Head cosmetic and two themed sprays, alongside free content like themed hit effects, a T-Shirt, a plushie ghost and Pac-Man Ball. Finally, Fahkumram, a returning DLC character from 2015’s Tekken 7, will be heading to the newest game as the next fighter for its Season 2 Character & Stage Pass.
