The latest footballing heavyweight from EA Sports, FIFA 20, is soon upon us.
Never mind the new Career Mode features, or the addition of VOLTA Football, arguably the biggest thing fans look forward to in each edition is: who are the top players in the game?
Many of you have no doubt been speculating and making up your numbers, and EA Sports has finally lifted the lid on the top 100 players of FIFA 20. Here are the top 10 for your reference.

8. Mohamed Salah | RW | Liverpool
7. Virgil van Dijk | CB | Liverpool

The notable newcomers in this top 10 are that of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool FC, whose goalscoring antics and defensive nous respectively have earned the KOP their sixth Champions League title. The duo are joined by goalkeepers Marc-André ter Stegen of FC Barcelona, and Jan Oblak from Atlético Madrid, both of whom have performed admirably in their respective clubs last season.
Of course, we aren’t forgetting that the club Cristiano Ronaldo hails from, Juventus FC, has been renamed to Piemonte Calcio when the Italian heavyweight signed an exclusive deal with FIFA 20‘s rivals, eFootball PES 2020, for the next few years. As such, it probably wouldn’t have been in EA Sports’ good books to see a player from an unofficially-named team to be top dog. Oh well.
In any case, the new player ratings are out, and whether you like it or not, these will be the versions of the players you’ve come to love when FIFA 20 rolls out. At least, until the winter update, which should take place sometime in January 2020.
FIFA 20 will release on September 27 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
