The Fantastic Four are making their way into NetEase’s hit free-to-play multiplayer hero shooter Marvel Rivals in its upcoming Season 1, as seen in a first-look teaser image below:
The official visual gives fans a sneak preview of the game’s take on the iconic dream team comprising Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards), Invisible Woman (Susan Storm), the Human Torch (Jonathan “Johnny” Storm), and the Thing (Benjamin “Ben” Grimm), each decked out in a futuristic body-suit with matching white and blue colour schemes. The team is shown sitting in the Fantasticar, their primary mode of transportation seen in the comics, alongside H.E.R.B.I.E., the team’s robot sidekick.
While the Fantastic Four are certainly the main stars of the teaser image, it also shows off some rather interesting details in the background. Most notably, the presence of a blood moon and what seems to be flying bat-like creatures in the distance could allude to a new map, or something spicier in store, such as the possibility of a new vampire character like Morbius or Blade. The presence of the team’s headquarters, the Baxter Building, may point towards a new map as well.
All this speculation will soon be answered, as NetEase posted on X/Twitter that a trailer showing off the Fantastic Four is releasing on 6 January 2025 at 8 am PST. According to the in-game Battle Pass timer, Marvel Rivals‘ current Season 0 ends on 9 January 2025, so it is highly likely that Season 1, and the Fantastic Four, will be made available then.
