Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, the movie tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Alyssa Sutherland (The Mist, Vikings) and Lily Sullivan (I Met a Girl, Barksins), whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.
Directed and written by Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground), Evil Dead Rise is a return to the iconic horror franchise by creator Sam Raimi. The movie is produced by Don’t Breathe‘s Rob Tapert and executive produced by series creator and horror icon Raimi himself.
Joining Sutherland and Sullivan in the cast is, Morgan Davies (Storm Boy, The End), Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence) and fresh-face Nell Fisher (Northspur).
Evil Dead Rise is set to scare moviegoers in theatres on 20 April 2023.
