EA Will Build A New Franchise Around Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

After the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, it’s no surprise that publisher Electronic Arts has bigger things planned in store for Cal Kestis and BD-1. And it looks like it’s going to be much more than just a mere sequel.

At a recent earnings call for the company, EA CEO Andrew Wilson explicitly went on record to state that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the “first title in an entirely new franchise”. This all but confirms that other titles could be developed based on Respawn Entertainment’s heavy-hitting action-adventure success story.

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, given just how much attention the game has gotten by both fans and media alike ever since its release back in November 2019. Furthermore, Respawn has been recruiting quite heavily in recent months for the Star Wars IP specifically, suggesting that the devs will be back for another gig in the franchise.

After the developer’s recent massive free gift on Star Wars Day, this small hint will no doubt put a huge smile on eager fans of the game. Now it’s only a matter of time before EA and Respawn announce just exactly what we can expect from the Fallen Order series.
