As Deadpool & Wolverine nears its July release date, the film released a new poster as well as a trailer spot, with tickets currently on sale in the United States. However, there was no word of the previously teased popcorn bucket, which fans are eagerly anticipating.
Ryan Reynolds posted the new poster to his X/Twitter account, which shows Wolverine and Deadpool going at it. Of course, Wolverine brings his signature claws to a gunfight, which might be a bad decision, but it’s Logan’s signature move. Deadpool on the other hand, looks vaguely amused with his double guns pressed against Wolverine’s abdomen and aimed at his shoulder, seemingly ensuring an easy win … or so it seems.
Reynolds also went on to praise Disney for finally giving the film its much-deserved R-rating in an interview with Variety, “I hope it doesn’t sound condescending, I’m really proud of them for doing this. I think it’s a huge step for them. I was surprised though, that they let us go as hard R, but very grateful. I mean there’s no other way to do it.”
Deadpool & Wolverine will make history as the only Marvel movie released this year, a first for the company in a long time, and all eyes are on the duo as they clash into theatres on 25 July in Singapore (26 July in the US).
