Composer John Williams Returns To Score ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ TV Series

Apart from George Lucas, the other individual in the Star Wars universe who has had a profound impact on the franchise has to be composer, John Williams.

After all, he’s pretty much responsible for all the iconic themes ranging from the main Star Wars theme, to Imperial March, and Duel of the Fates.

While the prequels and sequels might have had their fair share of critics, we all cannot deny that the music has been a highlight for each film.

Since retiring in 2018 from composing any more Star Wars films, John Williams is back at it once again with the upcoming Disney+ series, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Technically, he’s still sticking to the plan of not composing for any more movies but has set his heart on a Star Wars TV series instead.

According to an exclusive from Variety, Williams was hard at work from early February 2022 to complete the theme for the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series.

Presently, Williams is juggling a few projects outside of Star Wars with the composer working on Steven Spielberg’s The Fabermans and for the fifth Indiana Jones movie. He’s incredibly busy and is not slowing down for someone who turned 90 years old in 2022.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series will debut on 25 May 2022 with six individual episodes.
