Dubbed the mid-range flagship king, the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro 5G are now available in Singapore. Also, all the smartphones in the Note 11 series come with two months of free YouTube Premium subscription as part of Xiaomi’s collaboration with YouTube.
The smartphones’ specs won’t be competing against the cutting edge or propel smartphone technology by leaps and bounds, but that isn’t what Xiaomi is trying to do here. Instead, the Redmi Note 11 Pro models bring incremental improvements over the previous ones, with a better camera array (108MP primary sensors, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, 2MP depth camera for natural bokeh effect, and 16MP front camera), and 6.67-inch or 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED Dot Display with 120Hz refresh rate.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G sports an octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset, while the Note 11 Pro sports an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 processor. These specs are robust, and have a premium sheen to them, even if they’re not pushing the boundaries of smartphone technology. As such, they are bound to be reliable for those who simply want the security of knowing that their smartphone will work unquestionably well. This is a step up from the previous models, and with the price being in the same ballpark, these smartphones can be a modest upgrade for users who don’t want to burn a hole in their pockets.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro series’ biggest draw has to be its prices. For smartphones that offer such solid specs, the Redmi Note 11 Pro starts at S$359, while the Note 11 Pro 5G starts at S$399. It’s no wonder that Xiaomi has the confidence to call this series the mid-range flagship king. These smartphones will be available for purchase from 19 February 2022 at Shopee, Lazada, and other authorised Xiaomi stores. There will be premium gifts worth S$98 offered on a first-come-first-served basis for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage models of the smartphones.
