Apple has its very own flagship retail store. And the same applies to other high profile brands such as Louis Vuitton and LEGO.
Would it be so hard to imagine that a board game publisher and developer would attempt to make a similar play? It’s already happening sooner than you think. The last we’ve seen something like this happen was with Games Workshop and Warhammer.
Cool Mini Or Not, or CMON, will be opening their own flagship board game retail store in Singapore. The CMON Store officially opens May 18, 2019.
CMON is one of the leading board game companies in the tabletop gaming industry today. Some of their more notable entries in recent years include the fast-paced arena-style zombie survival game Zombicide, the Japanese mythical fantasy game Rising Sun, as well as the adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s acclaimed fantasy book series A Song of Ice & Fire Miniatures Game.

The grand opening is a public event and will feature a demonstration of their latest board games, a tour of the premises, a special board game auction to stand a chance to win some of their coolest games.
The auction itself will feature a wide selection of board games such as the cooperative dice-rolling game Fuji, and the dexterity-based family strategy title Trollfjord.

This auction will see over 50 board games available at possibly attractively cut prices. And especially if you’re Singaporean, how can you say no to a good discount?
And of course, how can they be a board game store without having some sessions of board games? There will be a small-scale competition based on Potion Explosion, one of their most popular titles in recent years.
And if that’s not enough, there will be a raffle draw at regular intervals throughout the day for every purchase of S$10 and up. Participants stand a chance to win CMON Kickstarter exclusives that you normally won’t be able to get anywhere else, as well as memorabilia for the opening ceremony.
