CES 2020: ASUS Announces New Chromebook Flip and ExpertBook Highly Portable Notebooks

ASUS has just announced two new laptops during CES 2020, the Chromebook Flip C436 and the ExpertBook B9450.

Both of these laptops are designed with portability and high-end performances in mind, perfect for content creators or business professionals who are constantly on the go.


Chromebook Flip C436

This new laptop carries a 10th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and an NVMe SSD. Aside from all that, it also carries a number of premium features such as an integrated fingerprint sensor, an omnidirectional quad-speaker design, USI stylus support, and a number of other features.

It comes in a simplistic and elegant looking cassis made of durable yet lightweight magnesium allow with two different finishes, an Iridescent Aerogel White and the classic Transparent Silver. It also measures 13-inches across while being only 13.77mm thick and weighing 1.1kg, making it the thinnest and lightest 14-inch Chromebook available.

Supporting the Chromebook Flip C436 is its three-cell, 42Wh all-day battery which can deliver up to 12 hours of runtime when used to browse the web, or work on documents.


ExpertBook B9450 

Just as its name suggests, the ExpertBook is designed to meet the demanding needs of professionals who are constantly on the go. It is the world’s lightest 14-inch business laptop and weighs only 870grams while having a thickness of only 14.8mm, making it extremely portable. In addition to its high portability, the ExpertBook B9450 boasts a powerful battery that is capable of delivering up to 24 hours of use on a single charge.

Powering the laptop is a 10th Generation Intel Core vPro i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and two ultrafast 2TB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs. Users also don’t have to worry about the ExpertBook breaking easily as it is equipped with military-grade durability, having survived numerous MIL-STD-810G laboratory procedures which includes drop tests, vibration tests, high temperatures, high humidity, as well as exposure to dust and sand.

The ExpertBook B9450 also comes in a unique Star Black finish, with a chassis made from magnesium-allow alloy. The laptop is 14.9mm thin and weighs only 870 grams. It also includes the ErgoLift hinge for a more comfortable typing experience and the ASUS NumberPad 2.0 technology, an LED-illuminated numeric keypad built into the touchpad. The ExpertBook B9450 is the first business laptop to include the NumberPad 2.0.


Both these laptops will be available later this year, with their pricing and availability to be announced on a later date.
