COVID-19 has left a major impact on the world since the start of its outbreak, with movie productions delayed, and many forced to stay at home to help curb the spread of the disease.
Many events have also had to be cancelled, to prevent large numbers of people from conjugating in a singular spot. One such event is SOZO’s Anime Matsuri which was supposed to happen in late March, only to be cancelled due to the growing coronavirus outbreak.
Not one to let a virus stop them from holding an event, SOZO has decided to hold one online instead.
Dubbed ‘AFA United’, SOZO hopes the online event will be able to bring fans together to unite in their love of Japanese pop-culture.
Popular Japanese singers such as JUNNA (The Ancient Magus’ Bride), Haruna Luna (Sword Art Online), and Kobayashi Mika (Attack on Titan) will be making appearances in the online event, as well as well-known cosplayers such as Rithe and Punipun.
