Blizzard is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Diablo RPG franchise by introducing the Warlock class to a trifecta of games: Diablo 4, Diablo 2: Resurrected, and Diablo Immortal.
Unveiled via a 30-minute 30th anniversary spotlight video, the new demon-summoning Warlock class will launch on the three games in waves. The class is now available in Diablo 2: Resurrected via a paid “Reign of the Warlock” DLC pack, and will head to Diablo 4 via its “Lord of Hatred” expansion on 28 April, and finally in the free-to-play title Diablo Immortal in Summer 2026.
While fans were expecting the highly-awaited class to make an appearance in Diablo 4, the addition of a Warlock class to Diablo 2: Resurrected came as a huge surprise, as the class was never available in the original 2000 game. In fact, the 25-year-old title has seen a second resurrection of sorts following the remake’s launch in 2021, with its latest update not just adding the Warlock class, but also introducing enhanced endgame features like Terror Zones, Colossal Ancients, and over 30 new items. What’s more, the remake has also launched on Steam in addition to being available on Battle.net.

Moving on from Diablo 2: Resurrected, the Warlock class is set to arrive in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, with Blizzard teasing a proper reveal on 5 March, alongside the introduction of the Skovos region, the war plans system, and encounters called Echoing Hatred. Meanwhile, Diablo Immortal has received a 2026 roadmap detailing new quests, gear and subzones throughout the year, with the Warlock class planned for a summer release window.
With the much-requested summoner class arriving in three different Diablo games, fans are surely in for a treat this year, giving them the perfect excuse to hop back into the demon-slaying ARPG madness using demons of their own.
The “Reign of the Warlock” DLC is now available for Diablo 2: Resurrected, with the Warlock class heading to Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred on 28 April, and Diablo Immortal in Summer 2026.
