The production, currently underway in Prague, has managed to keep most plot and character details under wraps. It will be set in the year 2099, fifty years after the events of the 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049 and eighty years following the original Blade Runner film directed by Ridley Scott in 1982. In this continuation, Yeoh will portray Olwen, a replicant nearing the end of her lifespan.
