Bethesda’s Classic Elder Scrolls & Wolfenstein Games Are Now Free On Steam

It was not too long ago that Bethesda confirmed that it will be shutting down its launcher for the PC platform, with its library of games moving over to Steam. Now, with the May 11 deadline coming up soon, we are starting to see some Bethesda games in their new home. More importantly, some of these classics Bethesda games are available for free on Steam.

The five classic titles now available on Steam are mainly from the juggernaut Elder Scrolls franchise. They include:

Sure, not all of them will be instantly recognisable to everyone, but when they are going for the low price of nothing, there really is not much to complain about. Only Redguard and Battlespire will require an investment of $8 apiece.

For now, we are not sure if these Bethesda games will be free forever on Steam, so if you are looking to score a deal, be sure to get in now. For those that rather play Skyrim or even Fallout 4, the creation kits are free and available as well, so you will have no excuses not to play around with mods for these games.

As a friendly reminder, before the Bethesda launcher is shuttered, be sure to transfer any games you have bought along with your saves to Steam. Whatever is left in your Bethesda Wallet can also be migrated. Check out this blog post to learn more.
