Baldur’s Gate 3 Delays August Early Access Launch

Baldur’s Gate 3 was expected to launch its Early Access in August 2020 and Larian’s CEO Swen Vincke had even said in June that the studio was pushing hard to make that a reality. Unfortunately, it seems the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the game pushing back the date of its early access launch.

The studio has announced on Twitter that it won’t be making the August release but that the game is “just around the corner.” A proper release date for the game along with other “big news” will be announced on 18 August during the “Panel From Hell”. The panel will feature Vincke, Geoff Keighley, and members of the Larian Studios.

You can catch the Panel From Hell on Larian’s Twitch channel and the Summer Game Fest channel on YouTube. With any luck, hopefully, the game’s early access launch won’t be delayed for too long.
