ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED With Intel’s 12th Gen Processor Out Now In Singapore

Last month, ASUS released its AMD-powered ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3402); today, it has made the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3402), powered by Intel’s 12 generation processor, available in Singapore.

Like the model sporting the AMD Ryzen 7 5825U processor, the Intel-powered ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3402) comes in a 14-inch all-aluminium chassis, 16GB of RAM, and a 75WH battery for all-day use.

The UX3402 also packs a 16:10 (2880 x 1800) OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a 400 nits Pantone-validated brightness with 100% DCI-P3 colours, and is DisplayHDR True Black-500-certified, so you will see colours portrayed accurately and in the deepest possible blacks. It is also not touchscreen-capable; that is reserved for the Zenbook 14X series.

Where the UX3402 differs is in its processor, graphics card and storage. It is powered by Intel Core i7-1260P processor, a 4P+8E cores 18MB cache CPU, with a clock rate of 2.1 GHz that can be boosted up to 4.7 GHz. Accompanying that is the Intel Iris Xe GPU and 512 GB PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD.

Another notable difference is that the UX3402 sports two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports (compared to the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 on the UM3402). Otherwise, they are similar, with the latest WiFi 6E (802.11ax), one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a microSD card reader, and an audio combo jack. For audio, it also has a Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos stereo sound system, which can boost loudness by up to 350% without distortion.

The Intel version is the same dimension-wise, with a thickness of 16.9mm and a weight of 1.39kg.

Rounding up the features on the UX3402 is the 180° lay-flat ErgoLift hinge, fingerprint sensor on the power button, ASUS NumberPad 2.0, a 720p HD webcam with ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) technology, and the new full-size ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad.

The differences in the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3402) also lead to a slight premium on its pricing. It retails for S$1,899 (S$100 more than the UM3402). It is available now at the ASUS Exclusive Store at Bugis Junction and ASUS Online Store.
