As most PC enthusiasts would know, one of the most crucial components for building a powerful PC is a good motherboard. Taiwanese PC giant ASUS definitely knows what’s up, with the upcoming release of its new ASUS Z490 Series motherboards.
The Z490 series houses the new 10th-gen Intel Core processors, which take PC processing to the next level. Not only that, the new chipsets include a variety of connectivity options, including a build-in WiFi controller, various USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, Intel Optane memory and chipset RAID support.
Here are some other key components in the Z490 motherboards:
- Robust power delivery: Beefed‑up VRMs deliver reliable and responsive power, with most models featuring auxiliary power inputs with ProCool solid-pin connectors
- Comprehensive connectivity: Assortment of features include USB 3.2 Gen 2×2, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 10 / 5 /2.5 Gb Ethernet, and Intel WiFi 6
- AI-enhancements: AI Overclocking, AI Cooling, and AI Networking that includes GameFirst VI on ROG motherboards and CreationFirst on ProArt motherboard

The ASUS Z490 motherboards will be available from 29 May onwards on all ASUS locally-authorised platforms.
