Apple Vision Pro Preorders Begins In Singapore, China, Hong Kong And Japan

Preorders have begun for the Apple Vision Pro as it enters the Asian market on 28 June in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, and Japan, after WWDC 2024’s announcement. It’s been out for several months in the US market since February this year, and will finally make its way here.

But owning one might be more costly than you expect. The Apple Vision Pro will cost S$5,299 in Singapore, and that’s not including optical readers or prescription inserts that will set you back S$149 or S$219 respectively. And if you want to get Apple Care+ for your device, it’s priced at S$749, given the complexity of the device. Getting all the upgrades could bring your total cost to S$6,000 and upwards, but it’s a worthwhile investment if you want a more immersive home theatre experience.

Its newest software update, visionOS 2, available later this year, will also introduce even more features on the device, which now has a new Mac virtual display which takes up two 4k monitors and allows you to work from a larger virtual screen. With over 2,000 apps offering Apple Vision Pro support, you can even game in virtual reality.

If you’re worried about figuring out how to work the device, you can book a 30-minute free demo of Vision Pro online, or visit any Apple store to get personalised support. The Apple Vision Pro comes with a Solo Knit Band, a Dual Loop Band, a personalised Light Seal with two Light Seal Cushions, an Apple Vision Pro Cover, a Polishing Cloth, a Battery, a USB-C Charging Cable, and a USB-C Power Adapter.

Preorders are now available on Apple’s website, with a limit of two devices per order. For those looking to try out the device before committing, demo sessions are available, starting Friday, 28 June, at 8 a.m. SGT through the weekend on a first-come, first-served basis at Apple Store locations in Singapore.
