Apple’s Vision Pro Headset Launches On 2 Feb 2024, Preorders Start 19 Jan

The Apple Vision Pro Headset was previously teased in 2023 to much fanfare, and now, the VR headset is finally hitting the US market on 2 February 2024. With personalised lenses made to fit the user, the Apple Vision Pro is designed for comfort.

Watching movies will feel a lot cooler, as the headset will let you watch Apple TV films like Oppenheimer and Dune in 4K resolution. A dial located on the side allows for an easy switch between augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), with users able to navigate the interface without a controller thanks to eye, head, and hand tracking.

Equipped with a dual-chip setup featuring Apple’s in-house M2 chip and new R1 chip, the device is capable of processing data from built-in sensors, cameras, and microphones. It runs visionOS, the company’s new operating system, and has more than 150 3D titles integrated into the Apple TV app, or so Apple claims.

Preorders will start from 19 January 2024, so if you want to snag an Apple Vision Pro headset for yourself, you’ll want to save the date. As for local availability and pricing, no details have been announced just yet.
