Apple might have already dominated the tech world, but it’s now looking to make its move on Hollywood too, as the studio has unveiled its 2026 film and TV lineup, with titles led by industry legends like Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Cameron Diaz (Charlie’s Angels), Keanu Reeves (The Matrix) and more.

Announced via the Apple TV Press Day, a host of feature films were announced, such as Outcome, a dark comedy that marks Jonah Hill’s third directorial effort. Starring Reeves, Diaz and Matt Bomer (Doom Patrol), Outcome tells the story of a beloved Hollywood Star’s road to redemption as he faces off against a blackmailer, with the film set for release on 10 April.

Apple is also teaming up with Skydance Media for an original film titled Mayday, a buddy comedy set in the Cold War starring Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh (Murder on the Orient Express). The film is set to film the spy thriller genre on its head and follows a U.S. Navy pilot Lieutenant Troy “Assassin” Kelly, stranded behind enemy lines while on a top-secret mission, only to find an unlikely alliance with an ex-KGB agent with a penchant for American culture. Directed and produced by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, Mayday is set to release on 4 September.

Reynolds isn’t the only Marvel star featured in Apple’s 2026 lineup, as Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt is also set to appear in The Way of the Warrior Kid, an adaptation of former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink’s bestselling novel that teaches kids about valour. Pratt stars as Uncle Jake, an injured Navy SEAL who teaches his nephew Marc (Jude Hill) how to handle bullies with an ambitious program named “Operation Warrior Kid”, which he devised based on his SEAL training. The film is set for release on 20 November.

Following the massive success of 2023’s Barbie, Mattel Films is aiming for a second homerun with Matchbox The Movie, an Apple Original Film about a group of childhood friends embarking on a globetrotting adventure when they are caught in an international plot. The film features an ensemble cast of John Cena (Peacemaker), Jessica Biel (Blade: Trinity), Sam Richardson (Veep), Teyonah Parris (The Marvels) and Arturo Castro (Broad City), and will premiere on 9 October.

The final film announced was director Josh Greenbaum’s The Dink, a pickleball comedy starring Jake Johnson (New Girl), Mary Steenburgen (Elf) and Ed Harris (The Truman Show). In it, Johnson stars as a former tennis prodigy finding a new passion in pickleball, facing the ghosts of his past athletic failures along the way. The film will also feature a notable supporting cast lineup of Patton Oswalt (BoJack Horseman), Chris Parnell (Rick and Morty), and Ben Stiller (Night at the Museum), and will premiere on 24 July.
It wasn’t all about films, too, as Apple also announced its upcoming TV series in the works, including Season Two of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (27 February), The Last Thing He Told Me (20 February), Your Friends & Neighbors (3 April), Criminal Record (22 April), and Sugar (19 June), Season Four of Ted Lasso (Summer 2026), and Season Five of For All Mankind (27 March), alongside the upcoming releases of several debut series like Imperfect Women (18 March), Margo’s Got Money Troubles (15 April), Widow’s Bay (29 April), Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed (20 May), Cape Fear (5 June), and Lucky (15 July).
