If there’s any sci-fi franchise Michael Biehn hasn’t conquered yet, it’s Star Wars. For years, many fans of the star who broke into the scene with The Terminator and Aliens back in the 1980s have been clamouring for him to take up the Force. It seems that now is the time, as he joins the cast of The Mandalorian Season 2.
Making Star Wars (via THR) confirms the casting of the 63-year-old for the second season of the hugely popular Star Wars spinoff Disney+ series. And though his exact role in the show isn’t clarified, Making Star Wars believes that he will be “playing a bounty hunter from The Mando’s past”. Whether or not Biehn will be another Mandalorian or someone like Bill Burr’s Mayfield remains to be seen.
Michael Biehn’s involvement in The Mandalorian – or just a Star Wars IP in general – will no doubt send many fans pumping their fists in the air. He will be joining a star-studded Season 2 cast, including the likes of Rosario Dawson as fan-favourite Ahsoka Tano, and (possibly_ WWE wrestler Sasha Banks).
Returning to the fold as Mando/Din Djarin is Pedro Pascal, alongside Gina Carano as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, and The Child as, well, The Child.
Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
