Alien Rogue Incursion Evolved

‘Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One: Evolved Edition’ Brings VR Game To TVs

Alien: Rogue Incursion, a single-player action-horror VR game released in December last year, is getting an upgrade this October under the name Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One: Evolved Edition, a re-envisioned version of the game built for those without a VR headset.

Announced via a brief cinematic trailer by returning developer and publisher Survios, the game’s Evolved edition will mark the flatscreen version of the horror shooter, with its official description on Steam reading as follows:

Experience the universe of the Alien films like never before: re-envisioned for all PC users. An all-new action-horror entry into the classic franchise, Alien: Rogue Incursion transforms you into Zula Hendricks–the ex-Colonial Marine hellbent on exposing Weyland-Yutani’s black-site experiments–on an extremely dangerous mission to the uncharted planet Purdan. With her synth companion Davis 01 for guidance, Zula must infiltrate the infested Gemini Exoplanet Solutions research facility and survive the ever-present threat of the most cunning Xenomorphs ever encountered, with both skilled stealth and serious firepower at her disposal. And when the threat she discovers has extinction-level consequences, Zula suddenly finds herself with humanity’s fate on her shoulders.

The original VR version of the game was released for the PlayStation VR2 and PCVR last year, and saw a Meta Quest 3 version launch in February this year, with its Part One subtitle added shortly after launch, owing to its cliffhanger ending, promising “new challenges and deadlier enemies” for Part Two, although it’s unclear at this point if the second chapter would include both VR and flatscreen versions as well.

Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One: Evolved Edition will be released on 1 October 2025 for the PS5 and PC.
