Photography is where the Oppo Find X series has always excelled, and its large circular cutout and Hasselblad branding make no secret of that. After a brief change to a squarish look, it’s back to the signature flair of before, now carried over to the first Ultra model in the family to date: the Oppo Find X9 Ultra.
The upgrade doesn’t stop at a world-first 50-megapixel (MP) 10x optical zoom telephoto camera, or so the company claims, but also includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor — a step up from the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 powering its predecessor. It offers 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, upgradable to 1TB, alongside an additional vapour chamber under the hood.
The AMOLED display is slightly bigger at 6.82 inches (versus 6.78 inches), with a QHD+ resolution (3,168 x 1,440 pixels) and a 144Hz refresh rate ensuring image clarity. Together, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra continues to deliver on the gaming front, cementing the standard for flagship experiences.
Across Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and Wuthering Waves, combat sequences unfolded smoothly with little to no frame drops or stuttering, while efficient thermal management kept overheating at bay. Check out how well the device fares in our gaming test video above, which includes starting temperatures, performance indicators, and other notable findings.
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is priced at S$2,199 and S$2,599 for 512GB and 1TB of storage, respectively. It comes in Canyon Orange and Tundra Umber, with a separately sold 300 mm-equivalent teleconverter accessory set retailing for S$499.
