Alex Garland’s ‘Elden Ring’ Movie Leaked Via Fan-Posted Set Footage

A fan might have leaked our first looks at Alex Garland’s upcoming Elden Ring movie adaptation, as what appears to be set footage has emerged online showcasing impressive recreations of in-game locations.

Shared via a TikTok video from user Throxtv, the footage shows a ruined building that looks strikingly similar to the Churches of Marika seen throughout Elden Ring, complete with the iconic statue of Queen Marika the Eternal upon its wall. A follow-up video shows off a better look at said statue, alongside other supposed props for the film, including barrels, wagons, and medieval-looking pillars.

According to a report by PC Gamer, a third video provided by Throxtv revealed that the set has now been camouflaged by a tarp in an effort to prevent more leaked videos or photos, with guards even posted up front to stop any curious personel. With just how accurately the set portrayed the Church of Marika, it is no doubt Elden Ring related, although whether this is the actual set of the movie, or just one built for other forms of game advertising, such as some sort of celebration for the game’s upcoming Tarnished Edition, still remains to be seen.

As the live-action Elden Ring adaptation was first announced in May 2025, with Garland directing and A24 producing alongside Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, Vince Gerardis, and George R. R. Martin. There’s still no word on story specifics or a release window, although Garland is reportedly eyeing Warfare star Kit Connor in a major role.
