‘Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra’ Delayed To Late 2026

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been hit with another delay. Skydance Games has confirmed that the World War II-set adventure will no longer arrive in early 2026, and is now scheduled for release beyond that window. The studio stated the additional time is required “to fully realize our vision,” but did not provide a new launch timeframe. It was announced shortly after Rockstar shifted Grand Theft Auto VI from May to November 2026 – another major title pushed further down the calendar.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra features a narrative-driven storyline starring Captain America, Azzuri (the Black Panther of the 1940s), Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos, and Wakandan spy Nanali, set against the backdrop of Nazi-occupied Paris. The project first caught significant attention back in early 2024 after its trailer premiered during Epic Games’ State of Unreal presentation at GDC.

Development is led by Amy Hennig, known for shaping the Uncharted series, with Skydance Games co-president Julian Beak also at the helm. The studio is simultaneously working on a separate Star Wars project – that has yet to be fully revealed.

No further details about the new schedule or development progress have been announced.
