Logitech MX Master 4 Mouse Adds Haptic Feedback And Actions Ring For Custom Controls

The Logitech MX Master series boasts a reputation for being one of the best productivity-focused and ergonomic mice on the market, and its latest device is no exception. Building on its existing feature set, the MX Master 4 looks to elevate the standard for work, starting with tactile haptic feedback.

Ideal for tasks such as video editing, design work, and data analysis, it allows users to control subtle vibration for scrolling, navigation, and selection. The Actions Ring makes its debut here, granting access to function shortcuts in apps like Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel, as well as customisable controls through a digital overlay enabled by Logi Options+, which, according to the company, reduces repetitive mouse movements by 63 percent.

Connectivity strength has also been upgraded two-fold with a high-performance chip and optimised antenna performance, while a new USB-dongle ensures fuss-free and reliable pairing across laptops, desktops, and tablets. For business settings, the MX Master 4 offers convenient access to monitor its status and performance remotely through the Logitech Sync management platform, so long as employees are logged into Logi Tune.

The other notable features will be familiar to long-time users, but these include its signature MagSpeed Scroll Wheel that can scroll up to 1,000 lines per second, an 8,000 DPI sensor, the ability to track on any surface, including glass, quiet clicks with 90 percent less noise than its predecessor, and USB-C quick charging, which powers up three hours of use on a one-minute charge. Alongside the Easy-Switch buttons, the Actions Ring can now be used to transfer files between devices with Logi Options+.

Separately, Logitech also announced the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 keyboard, powered by any light — be it sunlight or artificial light. The wireless accessory features a full-size layout and Scissor-switch keys, with the proprietary Logi LightCharge technology combining a light-absorbing strip, a battery built to last up to 10 years, and an energy-efficient design. According to Logitech, it can last up to four months in total darkness once fully charged.

Like the MX Master 4, the device works across operating systems with a multi-OS layout, supports multi-point connectivity, and lets users personalise their keyboard experience. For business use, monitoring is done through Logitech Sync, and employees can customise 23 shortcut keys.

The Logitech MX Master 4 retails for S$199 and comes in Graphite, Pale Grey, and White Silver for the Mac variant. Meanwhile, the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 is priced at S$179 and will be available starting 6 October.
