The casting also puts Tillman with Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) on the list of franchise newcomers whose roles remain firmly under wraps. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings helmer Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the highly anticipated sequel, which will swing into theatres on 31 July 2026. While Marvel Studios and Sony are keeping story specifics tight to their chests, the comic book storyline that Spider-Man: Brand New Day adapts from follows Peter Parker as he strikes a deal with Mephisto to make the world forget his Spider-Man identity and resurrect Aunt May. However, the spell ends up resetting his world and terminating his marriage with MJ.

Tillman currently plays Seth Milchick in the critically acclaimed Apple TV series and proved to be a standout in Season 2, earning an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of a loyal employee who’s starting to show signs of cracking. The actor also starred opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and is busy filming for Amazon MGM’s film, Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother and Lena Dunham’s Good Sex.
