Samsung’s New Galaxy A33 And A53 Brings AI Features And Upgraded Cameras

Samsung is bringing affordability to their powerful tech in the brand’s new Samsung Galaxy A Series. The Korean tech company just announced two new phones in the Galaxy A lineup – the A33 and A53.

The A53 features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It has a quadruple camera array made up of 64MP main (f/1.8), 12MP ultrawide (f/2.2), 5MP macro (f/2.4) and 5MP depth (f/2.4). The new phone is also powered by the new 5nm chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery. It is also IP67 water and dust-resistant.

The A33 packs the same feature as the A53, with a 5,000 mAh battery and 5nm chipset but shrinks the display to a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with DHD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. As for the camera, the A33 houses a 48MP main (f/1.8), 8MP ultrawide (f/2.2), 5MP macro (f/2.4) and 2MP depth (f/2.4) camera.

Although the Galaxy A series is seen as a mid-range series, Samsung is not treating them any less. The new phones boast AI-inspired features that make videography and photography on the A53 and A33 next level. When taking a video, the AI will adjust the frame rate and helps remove unwanted objects from photos.

Not only that, the A33 and A53 now have Quick Share capabilities that allow users to share media and content to other devices – even if they’re not part of the Samsung Galaxy lineup. Users can also share and connect their phone to their Windows laptop or computer with the tap of a button, and find items like say, the Samsung Galaxy Buds, if it’s ever misplaced.

Both models come in Black, White and two new colours: Awesome Blue and Awesome Peach.

Pre-orders for the A53 are already available on Amazon.sg at S$598, and start shipping on 28 March. All pre-orders will come with gifts worth S$146. These include a Smart View Cover (worth S$68), a 25W Travel Adaptor (worth S$28) and a S$50 Amazon.sg Gift Card (exclusively for Amazon Prime members only).
