Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye Returns In ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

Wilson Bethel is set to return as Bullseye in the highly anticipated Disney+ MCU series Daredevil: Born Again.

This news follows the recent confirmation that the original Netflix Daredevil series and its spinoffs are officially part of the MCU canon. Bethel’s character, Benjamin Poindexter, who transforms into the villain Bullseye, made a significant impact in Daredevil Season 3.

Daredevil: Born Again marks a continuation of the Daredevil saga, with Charlie Cox reprising his role as the titular character Matt Murdock/Daredevil. The addition of Bethel to the cast further strengthens the link between the new series and its Netflix predecessor. Bethel’s portrayal of Bullseye in the Netflix series was notable for providing a complex and sympathetic backstory to a character first introduced in 1976’s Daredevil #131.

According to reports from ComicBook.com and Deadline, Bethel is slated to appear in three episodes of Daredevil: Born Again. He joins an already impressive lineup, including D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher.

The casting news has sparked excitement among fans, especially given the series’ recognition as part of the larger MCU. This integration opens up possibilities for characters from other Defenders Saga shows like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist to make appearances.

Daredevil: Born Again promises to be a significant entry in the MCU’s Phase 5, building on the established lore while introducing new elements to the Daredevil story. While the show does not have a confirmed release date, its development is eagerly anticipated by fans of the original series and the MCU as a whole.
