Wheel Of Time Is Finally Traveling To The Small Screen

After more than a decade of waiting at the threshold, one of the largest epic fantasy series, Wheel of Time, will finally be through the illustrious, economically profitable, gates of television adaptations, with Amazon’s guiding hand paving its way. Jointly produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television, the series will be adapted from paper to screen by showrunner Rafe Judkins (Chuck, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD).

If you aren’t a fantasy enthusiast and haven’t heard of the novels, they’re set in a world where magic’s possible, only it’s known as Channeling, and people with a natural aptitude are born with the Spark. Also, male Channelers tend to go insane because of a lengthy backstory that we aren’t going to spoil you on, which has led to a disempowerment en masse and makes for interesting gender discourse.

Judkins has eagerly taken to his various social media outlets to share with fans the process of bringing Wheel of Time to life.

Although there hasn’t been news of casting or directorial possibilities, we reckon fans of the series can remain hopeful considering how fans of the series are also at its helm.
