Last weekend, many fans of the Predator movies will no doubt have gotten a taste of the upcoming asymmetrical shooter Predator: Hunting Grounds by Illfonic. The game was playable as a free trial from 27 – 29 March on PC and PS4, and we managed to play a few rounds of it — with none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played Dutch in the original 1987 movie.
Seeing that this was the absolute best way to portray the iconic actor’s even more iconic voice, we had an absolute blast playing with him as members of the elite task force in South American jungles, and against him as the terrifying Predator. And of course, if Arnie’s playing the Predator, he couldn’t not do it in his own voice, now, could he?
In any case, Predator: Hunting Grounds is sure to inject tons of adrenaline and endorphins in players as it features high-octane multiplayer action, be it on the soldiers’ side or the Predator’s. And as a plus, it supports cross-play between PC and PlayStation 4, so friends from both platforms can enjoy the game together.
Predator: Hunting Grounds launches on 24 April 2020 for PC and PS4 (with cross-play support).
Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
