Venom 2 Delayed Again; Even Alien Symbiotes Aren’t Immune To COVID-19

Venom: Let There Be Carnage has been delayed yet again.

In a somewhat ironic fashion, the new film, which will feature a variant of the Venom symbiote in the form of Carnage, is delayed due to COVID-19’s delta variant. According to the National Research Group’s poll in late July, the comfort level of moviegoers fell from 81% to 66%.

This is a statistic that Hollywood studios take special note of, and a sharp drop like this is concerning to say the least.

The film was initially set to be released in October 2020, and had been pushed back multiple times, first to June 2021, then to September 2021, much to fans’ dismay. The much-anticipated movie now has a new release date of 15 October 2021.

It looks like we will have to make do with the new trailer for now. Hopefully, this is the last time the film will be pushed back. All of us can’t wait to see Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson duke it out, after all.
